Palm Springs Modern Homes

Palm Springs Modern Homes was established in 1997 by Dennis and Cheryl Cunningham. The vision behind the company was to design and develop modern housing in the desert with the promise of great architecture at an affordable price. Initially the company created a number of custom homes and later became the first developer to build modern multi family living spaces in the city of Palm Springs since the early 1980’s. Since that time, the company has earned a solid reputation in design, construction quality and customer service. In everything we build, we use the latest green technology and construction methods demanded by today’s sophisticated home buyer to create elegant, functional and affordable living spaces in Southern California’s desert cities.

Palm Springs Modern Construction

Palm Springs Modern Construction has built over 250 residential units for PSMH. The development of this division organically grew as a result of our solid reputation as a builder of modern architecture. A number of clients that purchased their home from our parent company, Palm Springs Modern Homes, approached us about their personal or business needs. As a result of this need, we responded by creating a new platform in which to service the rapidly growing building needs in the City of Palm Springs for remodeling, new residential construction and commercial construction.

Design Philosophy

Every single person that buys one of my homes is into architecture. They use their home as a canvas for their own creativity. Our homes are about lifestyle.
— Dennis Cunningham, Principal, Palm Springs Modern Homes

For more than a decade, Dennis Cunningham, the principal of Palm Springs Modern Homes has worked closely with the City of Palm Springs to address how best to extend good design ideas in development while preserving the city’s mid-century modernist tradition. Some of the results of that ongoing dialogue have resulted in a number of high-profile awards, a museum exhibition and many articles in prominent trade and consumer publications. Palm Springs Modern Homes specializes in the creation of unique modern communities in Palm Springs and other desert cities. Our innovative designs are inspired by the ongoing legacy of modern desert living and seek to advance an emblematic Palm Springs lifestyle.

Our design philosophy is simple…we create elegant designs that reflect the best cosmopolitan living in a desert setting. At Palm Springs Modern Homes lifestyle and style coalesce.
